It is possible that he would have recieved the engine a few weeks ago had he sent it directly to China, and one of the several other dealers would have DEFINITELY turned it around faster. There isn't anything special about the bearings, they are the same size as used in many electric motors. Most bearing shops will have HUNDREDS in stock at any one time. |

I turned the gear around on my Cap today and it now has less of a tendency to want to nose over and chip the prop. OOOOOh Rah

You guys should join , only $25 membership and 50 minutes from Oak Ridge, nice to have a whole field to yourself and now one blocking the view of the runway as you go to land LOL

Type in Caswell Airpark, Yanceyville NC into Google maps and bingo theres the directions
We have a yahoo groups site for members to post a message but thats about it,LOL Very low key atmosphere at the field, we have about seven active members and most of the time only two show up, that would be me and an old timer who flies a big Cub We never have more than one plane in the sky at a time. Ha ha I don't know how you guys handle it at some of those fields Heres a site with some history of the place http://www.airfields-freeman.com/NC/...Greensboro.htm scroll down to almost the bottom for Caswell Airpark Last edited by fritzdecat; 02-10-2009 at 12:05 PM. I know Chris called you guys many times to get a status of his warranty bearing replacement. Every time he called he was told the engine was done and would ship out soon or that it would go out shortly. At no time did you guys tell him about the issue of not being able to get factory parts. I know Chris would have been just fine if you guys had told him that. It was the lack of communication on your part and the unkept promises to ship the engine that soured the situation. In the end, you guys did give him an engine that he had to drive to your shop to take possesion of. And that engine was NOT new. It was full of gunk and had a lot of carbon build up on the top of the piston. For you to say you thought Chris was a friend, well Chris is one if not the nicest guys I've had the privilege to call a friend. It's unfortunate that you feel Chris has done something wrong or has mis-represented the situation. I also find it in bad taste that you posted to this thread in an attempt to redeem yourself.

Guys,
I have a great planes Cap 232 27%. This model is rated to run a 32 to 43cc engine I was thinking about putting a new DLE 30 in it . I am unsure whether it maybe underpowered with this engine. Has anyone else have any comments on this. If so, what prop would you recommend? cheers |
