Default CRRC Pro GF50I

I unpacked my CRRC Pro GF50I from its box today.
Mounted the CRRC Pro pitts muffler.
Rans some different props on it for some rpm #'s.
oil mixture is 25:1, neddles are at factory settings.
Short 5 second wide open burst for tach readings.

Readings after 8 oz. of fuel run.

Xoar 19 X 8 @ 8200
Xoar 20 X 8 @ 7500
Zinger Pro 22 X 8 @ 6900
APC 22 X 10 @6900
JFX 23 X 8 @ 5600

Readings after 16 oz. of fuel run.

Xoar 19 X 8 @ 8400
Xoar 20 X 8 @ 7900
Zinger Pro 22 X 8 @ 7100
APC 22 X 10 @ 6900
JFX - ( did not run again, loaded engine to much at this time )

Readings after 24 oz. of fuel run.

Zinger Pro 22 X 8 @ 7200
Vess 22B @ 6800
Mejzlik 22 X 10 @ 6800

I think this motor with more break in and tuning should get the Vess 22B at about 7000.
My DL-50 is turning the same Vess 22B @ 7200.

i found the 20 x 8 dynathrust so far to be the best flying prop. i have not tried the vess 22b yet but it turns 8000 lands like a dream and pulls the extra 300 (14 lbs) to the moon. each tank of fuel the motor runs better and better. it idles at 1300 and does not miss a beat. i need taller gear to run the 22. ran the pro zinger 22 x 6 tips went supersonic and acted like giant anchor when you slowed. made lots of noise and went no where quick!

I have a gf50i on a 17.5 pound stinger.the best prop I have found is a vess 22a.
It turns 7500 on the ground ,pulls hard out of a hover and has good top end speed.

Hi All

i will say a 22 X 8 wood prop is the best. close to 7000rpm with 27 lbs of thrust.

my shoulder is killing me from flipping over the crrc 50cc motor. why i dont know. i only have to flip it four times for it to start. im going to ace hardware and get me a 24" pvc pipe to start this sucka. runs great both upright and inverted. i have almost a half of a gallon through it and i dont think i'll ever have to adjust those factory settings.

The 50cc has a habit of kicking back and being hard to start. The distributor in South Florida has solved the problem. After many pains in the shoulder, they discovered that the timing was to far advanced. Try retarting it a touch. Also looking at the pics of your engine, you might have gotten a series 1 not a sieries 3. Big difference. The south florida distributor is http://www.rconlysite.com

I just finished my GP yak54 up. I tried to fire up the crrc 50 and it bit me three times, damn near broke my fingers the 3rd time. I tried a dyna torque starter on it but she wouldn't turn over.
Could you please explain how to retard the timing. Also wondering how to tell the difference between a series 1 and 3.

I haven't had any problems starting or kicking back with mine.
As far as starters, the GF50I has two compression rings on the piston and it has great compression.
You will need a starter with tons of ball$ to turn it over.
I also would like to know the difference between a series 1 and 3.
