Everyone has their opinion and I respect that. I was going by what I've seen, they are a LITTLE lighter than the average plane that size, unless you remove every ounce possible during your kit build to get it around 35lbs.I just don't think you need 3 servos. 600 oz of torque seems to be plenty. I'm not insiting I'm right and you're dumb. lol. Like I said before, 3 would be safer or added security, but not necessary. The ailerons on it aren't any bigger than my 260's which have 2 5955s,but as to the issue at hand, with today's hardcore 3D, 2 5945s just simply aren't enough. Maybe if the were direct drive, but I wouldn't use them on anything bigger than a 50cc size plane. Glad to hear your friend at least got a discount on his replacement. That's pretty generous of them to do that. Most companies would tell you to get bent if they found out you were running servos that weren't up to their minimun reccomendations. Hope his new one will wash the bad taste out.
Can I borrow your scales!!!

Mine is an easy 44 lbs, 3W 157TS on cans dual fromeco's and an emcotec DPSI. Even if I got rid of the TS and the emcotec it would be above 40 lbs!

We may be talking about two different airframes. The one I'm reffering to is a 260 with the fantasy scheme. Same motor as yours, smart fly expander, same batts. If I'm refering to a smaller plane, I appologize and will shut the f up! lol This plane came out to 35 lbs. I didn't build it, own it, or weight it. Just went by what three reputable friends told me. It went something like "yeah that thing is stupid light, weighs like thirty- five f'n pounds. That's why it flies like it does. That's sick!"

JagerBomb..... I'm in the process of putting my 42% 260 together and installing 5955's on all the surfaces of that, and ordered 4 extra 5955's for my Carden Edge, I couldn't begin to count the flights on the Edge... I know that it flies nice though, absolutely on rails. Aileron size does make a big diffrence, my 35% Yaks have HUGE ailerons with (2) 5955's each pushing them around. Upgrades are in work!!

still some guys just dont know how to setup planes correctly...

the "SX" has verey large surfaces, so you need 3 5955tgs per aileron or jr DS8611 or up.
carf writes in the manual which servos work -so go with it !!!

every pilot i know (whos setup is correct) has no probs with carf planes in this way...

sorry for your loss but comp-arf needs absolute positive proof of structural failure to warrent their product. 5945s are just not up to the job. i firmly belive in redundency and that is why i have 3 8611s on each aileron and 2 8711s on each elavator on my super-extra and i fly it to the limits without a hitch! bottom line spend the extra money to protect your investment.
