Skycam Shots from San Diego Electric Spring Fling 2008.
I just wanted to share a few shots we took at the San Diego Electric Spring Fling 2008 fun fly last weekend. We had a great opportunity to shoot a demo flight with the Team Hacker crew with their 35% Hangar 9 Extra 260. I flew the camera ship from www.skycamsandiego.com to within about 2 feet of the hovering extra while "Wildman" aimed the camera for some great shots. Thanks to the team hacker folks for a great time and a great demo.

Here is a shot of the rig we use. Custom stretched Trex 600 flying 710mm blades and a 12s lipo setup. About a 10 min flight with the 6 lbs camera payload.

Yes that was us at the Palamar field as well. Here is a shot of the 3 Trex 700 Demo. Unfortunately we had a failure in the SD card of the camera and lost all the shots when the crowed moved out to the pit area. Dennis and I were pretty bummed. Maybe we will get a chance to redeem ourselves at next years fun fly. Darren |
