Default Radiowave 300

Anyone out there flying one of these? 40% or 35%? I'm interested in the 35%. The plane looks well thought out. Alot of lightened areas.Nice scheme. The only thing I don't like is the stab servos are mounted in the fuse which can be a pain to disconnect.

Im flying the 3.2m Extra 300 this year as my primary airplane. Its flying awsome so far. I have about 20 flights on it or so. I also got to fly Mike Chandley's 3.2m 300 with a ZDZ 210 in it at the Nall. Still flew light and had rocket power!!! I got a couple pulls on the new 35% 300 as well and even though I only ran it through some sequences, it flew great as well.

I am in the process of putting one of the 35% 300's together now. I will be using a DA-85 with a KS 1090. I should have it in the air in a couple of weeks so I will post results then. It looks to be a very solid build and I don't see the aileron servos in the fuse as a big issue. But then I don't ever take mine off. It's a matter of removing a linkage or unplugging a wire but I am sure there is a way to make it easy.

Well I finished the build and got a final weight with the DA-85 and KS 1090. The final weight is 25lbs. 14oz. Given the earlier quited weight with a DA 100 it seems to be on the heavy side. I am sure with the pipe it will have plenty of power but the weight is a bit surprising. I should maiden it either Sunday or Monday so I will post results then.

Yes, that is what I was talkin about. The elevator servos are mounted in the fuse. I just like having them mounted in the stabs as an easy way of disassembling them for transport. I was told that using rocket city hardware you can just pop off the links.

Vic,
Didn't you see that new way of mounting the aileron servos in the tail. It uses a push pull cable through the fuse I read that a few times and I couldn't even see the mistake. I must of had a few cold ones that night
