Default Columbus Ohio, Velox II 28% noob

Hi guys. I'm the new proud owner of a AeroTech Velox II 28%. Mr Kitman was nice enough to sell me one and help me get it all set up. Picked up a 3MM 53cc engine and am on my way over to his place to whack it together!

Hope this weekend is as nice as they are saying it's going to be in Columbus! Can't wait to get it in the air.

We got the plane up and flying great last Saturday. I went to fly it Sunday and had a little problem. Smooth landing, tail came down, then a gust of wind picked the plane up about 3-4" and yawed it a couple degrees to the left. When it touched back down the gear shuttered and folded the gear under. DOOH. Nothing more damaged. Greg's helping me put the gear back on... heck, he's doing it and I'm watching.

Had a blast while it was flying though and really love the way the larger birds fly! I'm hooked. That 3MM motor is just great! Even though it's still early in the breakin it starts easy. Greg has some broken in ones and they start in 2-3 flips, if not one. Great running motor at a great price. If he's using them in his planes, what more do I need to know!
