Columbus / Fort Benning Imac Classic
Ok guys and gals it's that time again. We have begun preparing the new field located in Marion county,GA for our 2nd annual IMAC event. We have lots in store for you, a low entry fee of $10.00, lunch both Saturday and Sunday and a free BBQ dinner Saturday night. All other details along with directions to the new site are on our website (www.amaclub217.org) under the IMAC tab. Further information regarding our event is also listed on the IMAC site, (www.mini-iac.com). More about the contest, pilot and dash panel will be in effect, freestyle will be determined by a show of hands to whether it will be flown Saturday or Sunday. Unknowns will be handed out Saturday after all rounds are flown. Don't forget to register at www.letsflyrc.com so we can plan ahead.

I'll be there!!...
Can you recommend some Hotels that are not too far away... I love tenting it... but it has just been too darn hot and I'm getting too old!!!!  The Link at the flyer website shows hotels in Phenix, AL and I think that may be a bit far away

There are not any hotels real close to the field that I can think of. The best place to probably stay if you are going to stay in a hotel is going to be over by exit 12 on I-185 or the Holiday Inn on Manchester Expwy in Columbus. Both are going to be about 20-30 minutes from the field. Either one has the same amount of turns and distances from the field. You might want to camp and bring a portable A/C unit.

are there any that are a bit closer on that list??? sorry to be a pain... Looks like in the area of the Peachtree mall (Wow, who'da thought that something in GA would have Peach in its name!! ) and the airport is the best bet
