well after the motor failure on the 3DHS Katana at the low fly-in ive been plane-less.
been going crazy not being in the air and last night pulled the trigger on a new Red SHP! im so stoked! i leave at lunch to drive to fredericksburg to pick it up! i cant wait!!!!!!!!!

I'm inspired, it just took me a year. After watching Scott fly his over a year ago in Boulder, and Ryan with his electrified version, my brain finally snapped and I ordered one. Just recieved mine today.

just got back into town and cracked open the boxes. looked great, i didnt really take anything out yet. did take out a wing though, are the alerons hinges already glued and gap-taped? i had to do all that with the Katana. havent checked the manual yet.
im so amped fellas!!!!!!!!

Tim - We just upgraded the new, Red 87" SHP to pre-hinged wings and stabs like on the 103". Haven't caught up on the manual changes yet.

sweet, just to clearify Ben,i do not need to remove the control surfaces from the hor stab or main wings and epoxy the hinges?
only epoxy the rudder hinges?

That is what he said . The simple test is give the elevators and ailerons a good tug. It should not pull apart. You'll know it if it's prehinged or not.
