So, I'm looking at the hardware and the bag with the wing bolts I assume is the bag for the aileron hardware. BUT it seems like the elevators use the shorter pushrods. Which are in the bag with what seems like the wing hardware. Trouble is I tried to use the longer pushrods for the elevators and the threads bottomed out in the link before they were short enough. I ruined a couple links already.
Is the pushrods for the elevators the shorter set? |

Ben@3dhobbyshop.com or call us at 1-830-990-6978 Thanks!

What you'll notice is that the aileron hardware are together with the wing bolts. The elevator ones aren't. That's the easiest way to tell which is which.

Yea, thats what I thought, but the pushrods were in the wrong bag. Hence the confusion & question. |

Another problem, Seems the bolts that go thru the control horns should be the larger 3mm (I think) bolts. Problem is they will not go thru the ball-links. Really close but will not push(or screw thru without damaging the threads. I tried the smaller bolts (2.5MM I think) but there is way to much slop in the linkage for that to be correct. What am I missing here?

Can you post a pic? It should go through. The 89" Slick and later models have 4-40 screws for the horns and servos. I think the 87" SHP is still on M3, but I will defer to Ben for the definitive answer. You can try PM'ing him.

The Red SHP's are later production, these use 4-40 hardware. The White/Blue are earlier, these use 3mm. We don't use 2.5mm in this kit. For specific hardware questions, again, best to contact us directly at 1-830-990-6978 or Ben@3DHobbyshop.com

I received my 87" red SHP last night. Everything arrived in perfect condition in two days! The craftsmanship is top notch. I was pleasently surprised on the hardware. There were a few assembly steps in the manual that had already been completed. I really like the upgrade on the turnbuckle type pushrods and the aluminum hub wheels. Very positive experience.

Once you get through, you'll know why
. Try emailing Ben with your phone number. Keep in mind though that he's gone the rest of the week to attend the Ohio Huckfest. |

OK....down here in West-by-God-Virginia we finally laid our hands on a cheap (read free) flip video camera and caught a little action this afternoon. A gusty day and not very good quality video (or flying for that matter) but it tells a story

Nice video, good flying. But, you didn't really stand in front of that plane, and flip that prop, without someone, or something restraining it did you?
