I know what you mean.
If you had all the planes you wanted and the trailer you needed to haul all the planes you wanted,then you would want a bigger place to builld cover and store the planes you wanted the trailer you wanted, lets not mition the tractor trailor you needed and the 53' trailer to be pulled by the truck, and the pit crew you would need to help you get the planes out of the truck, the gas station on wheels to fill all the planes nad the countless hours it would take to set up each plane, the expermentation you would want to do to some of the planes, the divorce lawyer court costs,the family you had before you got what you wanted,, I think three 40% planes will beat my want back until I get board and need a new project, there is nothing like the feeling of completing a plane, setting up the plane and flying the plane, the plane doing what you want out of it and more.....GOD I LOVE THIS HOBBY.... always leaves you with wanting more but you have the better half to be there to slap you in the face just to get your attention.....I love my wife toooo |

thanks pitts but I am only interested in the three planes that I have listed, it looks to be a great looking plane but the scheme leaves a little something to be desired, why are you wanting to sell if you don't mind me asking?

Did anyone bother to read the article QQ did in AMA about his Worlds win with a Bi-plane?
Yes, the setup was more involved. But in his words the advantages of the Bi-Plane outweighed that. I read his article and he made several valid points on why the Bi-Plane is better. Wind being one of them. A smaller wing (but with more area due to the other wing). On a vertical line only one wing , which is smaller than a monoplane, will be shown to the wind (if your are truly vertical) thus relating in less wind induced movement. Lets see......TAS hasn't had any wind at all in the past 3 yrs........(note sarcasm) The main reason people say stay away from Bi-planes isn't because they fly worse. Its because you actually have to set them up. Is it a bad idea to check your incidence once in awhile? Or maybe tighten some flying wires so the incidence is always the same? I've watched guys put and take apart bi-planes at the field.......5-10 mins extra is all that is needed. You waste that much time walking your plane from your car to the flightline....or BSing with your buds while you attempt to assemble your plane. If you like the plane---------get it. A plane you like more, you will fly more. Flying more is what wins contests. Not who has the Extra or Yak or Edge or Ultimate

which issue was that in I guess I missed the add or did not think to read about it when I recieved the mag., I want another bip, I have built two of the Carl Goldbergs Ultimate bips, loved the way they fly hated the balancing of them, did more balancing them in between flights than othre setups, I want a large bipe, I can use the 260 for IMAC until I get comfortable with this bipe, If thats what I decide on

[quote=Kiwi;467806]Eagle,
I have dual 5995's inside the elevators, no carbon push rods. Its actually not too hard to do, you just need to be brave enough to hack a hole in each elevator. I can dig out the photos if you like. I would not mind seeing some of them photo's when you can get aroung to it please sir |

Eagle,
It's for sale because, I bought an other MX-2 that just needed the engine and radio installed, otherwise I would have built this one. My time is pretty limited because of my business. Also, the older I get the slower I go. Tom

Eagle - I'm a very jealous man!
I'm loving my big 260 at the moment but if you got another one, or the yak, it's kind of more of the same. So I think you are right on with the python. A friend of mine has both back in the UK! The 260 is quick to put together but for the days you have the time, the Python can be rigged and give you an awesome days fun! DA170 and greves pipes! Let us know when you've made the order! |
