Another Composite-ARF Plane which one??

my comp 260 came in at less than 40 lbs around 38.5 to 40, DA-150 has no problems so far but have not put it through any heavy 3-D

well the polls say both the yak and the extra are equal so I am going to go with the yak 55 from Comp in the flying giants scheme, I should have the order placed on or around the 15th of August, thanks to all who have voiced thier opinion, i should have it in my hands at the end of the month and I will be putting the DA-170 on this plane.

Good luck on getting that 170, I heard that is still 10 weeks away for release.

Go for the 3W 170 , if you cant get the DA within time then its not an option .

I was told 3 weeks last november .

if its that far away that will give me ample time to get the rest of the electronics gathered and installed before the engine hits the streets, all I need to purchase is 2-rx's

I have the rest already to go, I will be putting in as many servos as it will hold, took my 3m-260 to the heatwave with minimum amount of servos and blew both the right aileron servos out, so I will be putting three per aileron, 2 per elev, and maybe 4 for rudder, nothing but 3D will be flown on this bird and I will reduce some arm lenghts on my 260 to fly straight imac and have the yak for everything else.

Desert aircraft told me that hopefully by September they should be in full swing on production of the 170, I will wait until they come out with it before buying another brand, I will order the plane on the 15th in any case, this will give me another month to gather servos, power box, and more servo wire and ends,
I have the batteries and 2 9156 for starters.
COME ON DA bring that 170 bad boy on!!!!!

Well, I put in the order for the only Flying Giants scheme coming on the boat, should have it here in a couple of weeks!!!! can't wait
now , all I have to do is get used to the round fuse, always been a turn off for me on the yaks but I see them fly very well, we will see in a few months

Well the only Flying Giants scheme coming to the USA is no longer, someone put a forklift fork through the fuse and now the next one due here, someone already bought it so now I am on a 8 to 10 week wait, I ordered one in the Flying giants scheme, but did a color swap on the plane, everything that is white will now be yellow, stars included.
Don't you just love the morrons that can't operate a likt without Fuc*ing something up, well now it is a waiting game like on my 260.
Oh well, just gives me more time to get the rest of the items I need, hope the 170 will be released next month.

Production on my custom scheme 3m Yak will start on monday, should leave thialand on the 29th of this month, I should have it by the first of Oct.

I HAVE A 260 WITH THE FLAG SCHEME AND LOVE IT 3D AND IMAC TO THE BONE. ALSO HAVE A ACE/TOC/AVIATION MODEL YAK AND IT IS MY BEST 3D PLANE HAS GREAT WING LOADING.

A friend of mine had the ailerons blow up on his SX... Even though I LOVE my SX, I will wait and see what kind of Customer Service he gets from Comp-Arf before I buy another Compy...
