Default Fliton Inspire-90 on glow setup?

I am setting up a Fliton Inspire-90 with a Saito-125.

I was wondering if there is any experience on this forum with this plane with a glow engine.

Any other info I might want to consider when putting this plane together is much appreciated as well!

I haven't heard of anyone converting the 90 to glow, but they have done the smaller version. I would think you will need to strengthen the firewall and go over all of your glue joints.

I have a Saito 125 on my Showtime 90 and it pulls it real well, your's should rock!!

hello Ken, I also fly the Inspire-60 on a Saito-82. It is holding up very well sofar. The 90 kit comes with instructions for glow as well and a doubler for the firewall, so I guess some thought has gone into the kit.

Just to be sure I bought a Hyde mount for the plane to reduce vibrations

Shoot, forgot about the fact they have a doubler in the kit, I heard about that also. The Hyde mount is a great idea, I use them on all of my Pattern planes.

Best of luck to you, let us know how it works out!

I've been looking at the Inspire 90 as well. I have an OS 120AX or I could get a Saito 125. Nice looking plane.

just to give some info on the plane sofar. I have flown now 40 flights and she is doing fine. The only part I replaced was the landing gear. It was just sitting too low and didn't get of the ground. This is with an APC14x10; I wonder how the electric guys manage.

Remarkable is the fact that the covering is holding fine. With the Infinity-90 and the Inspire-60 the covering was terrible, but on this plane it works fine.

I am still working on the trimming, I am not completely happy with it. Unfortunately there hasn't been a day without wind here, so that makes good trimming tough (at least for me).

Sofar I can recommend this plane. I hold up well, doesn't have bad tendencies and flies better then 99% of those that will own it!

Hi Volkert

I am flying my second Inspire 60 with an OS max FS81 alpha , so far so good , plenty of power and 12+ mins flight time, the only isues are 1) the covering that peels off and 2) the landing gear and aircraft cell , which doesn´t withstand too hard landings.

With the Inspire 90 , you shouldn´t have problems converting to glow , I also agree on using a Saito 120 4 stroke , but try using a 3 bladed prop instead, in order to avoid ground clearance issues, while maintaining " the same thrust"
