Hey - the FedEx guy just showed up & I'm smiling. No new plane, but a new DX-7. (Just wish they would have transferred the models over to the new TX! 4 helicopters & 10 planes will take awhile to re-program in.)
Official word was "Inspected radio and found Chip to have an open causing partial writing of programming to memory. Replaced the system in the interest of customer service." Thanks Horizon Hobby! Terry |

The airplanes should go reasonably quick, but the helicopters take awhile to get tuned in right.
Can you post a link to the amplified Y-harness? Not that it was my issue, but I'd like to see what one is to know more about it. Thanks Terry |

http://www.spektrumrc.com/Articles/A...ArticleID=1797 The amplified harness has a noted bulge where the two wires split out of the harness as the "amp" is under the shrink wrap. Here is a picture of one from the Horizon site. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=JRPA133 As opposed to a standard harness that does not appear to have any electronics in the y. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=JRPA135 Hope that helps.

Okay - it isn't the same as a "reversing" Y - where you can adjust the throw of one servo - great for one servo per elevator half.

Yes the Pawnee had 2 standard harness. The GA used a Matchbox with it's own battery on the 4 Ailerons. The Rascal had flaperons so each had it's own channel.

Been flying the DX7 since it first came on the market. Read the manual and understood that ANY change to the progamming requires a re-bind. I check my planes out before going to the field, then once at the field gassed up ready to start the engine, I do a re-bind, making sure all receiver lights are correct, then fly. Never had any problems with the system.
