I use 2.4 on all of my electrics. If you need batteries buy these they work great and are a heck of a bargin. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6785
Cant beat them for 23 bucks a pop. When you order go ahead and pick up one of the chargers that Big A was talking about and you will be all set.
We are getting about 8 minutes per pack.

After sitting on my bench for a few months I finally got around to throwing mine together. Using the Torque 2812T/720 and the Airboss 60 speed control. 3 cell 2200 china batteries. Getting 8 minutes of flight time and a slightly warm battery and cold engine and speed control. The plane is very good and flies exactly the way a profile should fly, super light. Another good extreme flight plane....Good Job guys!

The mount needs to be setup to have right thrust......so sitting in the cockpit you want the motor to point towards the right.

Not sure empty, but AUW is running around 42 to 44 oz.

Mine came out at 42oz AUW RTF. Built absolutely stock.

I flew the snot out of mine at SEFF this year. Busted the landing gear out of it twice - on one battery charge!! Torque 820 motor, Airboss 45 elite. So far I have only used a 3S 3000 pack w/ 13 x 6.5 prop, but I have some new 4S packs I have not tried yet.

Too bad they are being discontinued. I've been having an absolute blast with mine, it has really improved my 3D flying. I have two more NIB as backup, just in case.

If I did not already have two NIB, I'd buy a couple more. I love this plane!! I understand that they just did not sell well, hence the reason to discontinue, but for the life of me I can't think of why they did not sell well. When I was at SEFF, I must have had 10 people come up to me and say they had one and loved it. Only one guy said he did not like his.

I picked one of these up for cheeeep at FFT this weekend. I was going to use the E-flite Power 25 motor, just because I can buy it at the LHS I work at. Anybody have experience with this combo?? I was inspired after flying with Bob early saturday. His skills along with this plane put me and my Edge profile to shame! Looking forward to flying it.
