I wasn't happy with the paint job (thats what I get for painting in a dark garage) so I gave it another light coat today to even it out. I've finished setting up the rudder with the new bell crank and some new cables. It always amazes me how long it takes to do all of the little stuff!

Getting back on track!

I tackled the stabs. There was a small amount of side to side play on the stabs when they were joined together. After trying a number of methods to fix the problem I ended up taking some automotive foam tape and applying it to the root of the stabs. Once the stabs were bolted on it completely removed the play and they are tighter than ever. I also counter sunk the bolts and will cover them up with some vinyl (the stabs wont be removed, although they can if they need to be).

Once that was done I attached the servo horns on the elevator servos and set them up.

Not done yet, yeah I know I'm draggin' my heels! I final sanded and primed the wheel pants last night though, another sanding session and then paint.

Dragging your heels? I think you're paralized from the neck down...

It's like you're going on vacation or something.
