Hi Everybody !
My name is Per Nicolaisen and I am living in Sweden. I have been watching this page for several years now, because I am interested in giant scale aerobatics, but so far I have only been flying thermal soarers and average sport aircrafts. From now on I have decided to go for it!!!! One week ago I bought a CRRC 45i 45 cc engine and I am planning to build something with good handling qualities for freestyle aerobatics. I think that it should be something like 1/4-scale Edge, Yak or Extra. I have a Kyosho Cap 232-60 with a super tigre G75 which I hate, because it suffer from severe tip-stalling. It is also known that an aeroplane with a wingform tapered like that is quite prone to tipstall. Can anyone recommend a machine or setup(eg. planform and aerofoil) that will do what I want instead of something else? perhaps a 1/4-Scale CAP 232 has a better behaviour? I have also decided to build this airplane as a scratch builded foam and plywood/balsa/glassfibre aircraft. Can anyone recommend some drawings that I could have a look at? My professional background is system design of test rigs and system simulation for the Swedish fighter JAS 39 Griffon. You can watch a demo video, called "In Pace" here: http://saab.qbrick.com/# I have been interested in flying since I was a little boy and flying is a part of my life, so I hope to make a lot of contacts and contribute to this page in future. I have also had a lot of fun watching the absolutely mad swede "Wesse". So, at last i whish a Happy Flying to all members of Flying Giants, and I hope to hear a lot of suggestions about suitable designs/drawings of suitable giant freestyle aeroplanes. /Per Nicolaisen |

If you like CAP's, you should look into the Great Planes CAP 232. Check out this thread by CSpaced. I also have one with a 50cc. I can't fly like Chris, but I enjoy it.
Very nice flying plane with no bad tendencies and here in the states, it's dirt cheap also. http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...cap-232-a.html
