RCFLYER007,

I went to wild hare website and found this:
A123 2300mah 6.6v pack, Cellpro charge lead, 2 Deans connectors
$59.00

Is this what you mean? can I use my triton charger for this tyupe of batteries?

Yes....those are good batts......but you will need to get a new charger or use a adapter. That adapter will allow you to use your existing chargers with the new a123 packs.

If know one else will say it I will. That motor box is butchered. Do yourself a favor
and pick up some new aircraft grade plywood and rebuild it the properly. Loose the
pound of plywood spacers up front and make or purchase the proper spacers for the
engine you select.

When you are finished fuel proof with a clear urethane, like miniwax, and skip the heavy
epoxy fuel proofing.

You can find hundreds of pictures of properly build motor boxes around to help you design
something that is light yet strong.

Good luck with the project.

Yeah, maybe so but like what CSpaced said I would probably be better waiting to do that until I get the engine and then if needed I'll remove that wood. I do believe it is reinforced with urethane and a mix of black microballons... I think.... I'll try to get a picture tomorrow about that...

If I do have to change the motor mount area I'll ask you for more further information.

Thanks

Great looking models you have. Thanks for your input. I'll use a DL-50cc on this model and I hope I have enough power... and that I can handle it good for landing and manuevers.

Thanks

Take kregan's advice. He's more PC than me and he's a very good builder.

This model is a 78" wingspan and weight varies from 14-16lb in the spec book but think more close to 16lb.

Sensei, I was just kidding with you. Your advice is good, but I'll wait until I see and test the engine there. I'll cry for help when time comes...

Guys here some promised pictures. The World Models Extra hanging on the garage door along with my extra models (one Fliton AJ and one E-flite Extra, all electric); a close look of the engine mount as it is right now and a close look at the fuel tank area. I'm going to need to buy a fuel tank thinking on the DL-50. Any suggestions??

Thanks guys
