Ok... Finally some pictures. I did finish the landing gear and with your help I was able to remove the sticker glue from the wheel pants. Now, on those I just want to clean the wheel pants really good, hold the locking nuts that were loose and maybe give them a color. I'm thinking something dark or maybe a metal gray looking so I don't need to clean them all the time.

Thanks guys...

Ok.... just waiting to hear back from Bob at DL USA and I'll get my stuff.

Here's what I'm getting:
  1. DL-50cc (latest version)
  2. Wrap Around Pitts Muffler
  3. Prop Drill Jig
  4. Vess 22A
A good friend is going to help me assemble everything.

Yesterday I was able to get the landing gear back in place, the wheel pants sanded and ready to coat. I decided to go white there ... next, I'll assemble wheels as it was but in the wheel pants I got some nylon screws instead of the 8-32 metal ones that were there.

I'm thinking that depending on where my choke and throtlle servos will be there's is a couple of pieces of wood that I can remove from there trying to make it lighter. I'll be centering servos, linking the servo arms to the control horns and connecting the landing gear with springs and not solid wire. I'll re-glue the canopy and then after the engine comes I'll decide with the pitts muffler or the standard.

I'll get some pictures the nest couple of days.

Thanks for your help guys.

No need for a choke servo, there are plenty of ways to access the choke without the added weight of a servo.

However I highly recommend this:

In your posts and your pictures you have your choke made by hand? No servo? Does it work good that way? I have a upper hole in my cowling that I'm assuming it was for that...

Works fine, I pull on the pushrod out the bottom of the fuse to close the choke, then push on it to open the choke back up again. On my 100cc Edge I would just reach in through the cowl and actually close the butterfly - easy

Looks like he was too heavy and too slow.

As a side note I would not recommend running the engine like in the video without the wings attached. The wings absorb vibration, without them things will shake and rattle a lot more which could result in something coming lose.

I seen his post on another forum. He hadn't checked the balance and it was wayyyyy tail heavy. He later found the previous owner had a bunch of lead in the tail.

Yeah, I wouldn't run it without the wings assembled. But thanks for the note

Thanks Super08... That makes me feel a bit better. I'll for sure make sure the CG is on the spot or at least close to it.

Hey guys, good new and bad news.... what first???

Good News...
*I'm not that good as CSpaced but I finish my last coat into those dirty wheel pants and they seem to be good. I'll double check tomorrow, they will be drying tonight....
*Got the wheel, the axels and it has wheels now... I got the idea from other threads and I decided to give it a try putting springs instead of that bad wire stearing the tail wheel... check it out.... looks good, no?
*I was able to cut some matching Monokote (JET WHITE) and get it around the several holes for the wings because they were looking bad. After that I open the holes with the solderingiron and you can see how it looks. At least better then what it was... I do need some small stickers to cover some others but maybe I'll find someone that can spare some.

Bad News....
*Check the picture... I knew I had to and so I did remove those pieces of wood that I had on the engine mount.... looooook how it looks... Any ideas now? HELP

Well, that's it for today... more to come tomorrow. Have fun guys...
