servo reversing by harness

my question is can you change the direction of move movement by switch the red and black wires on the wireing harness .i have an esky transmitter from a belt cp and changed the air frame to a exi 450 witch is equilvent to a t rex 450 se 2 no matter how i set the ail ele thr forward and back wards is in reverse. when i made the change the servos and motor are fliped up side down on the exi compared to the belt cp be every thing right side up. can any one help me with this problem iam lost as a neb.

The short answer is no. It's not like a DC motor. There is circuitry in there that would likely fry with some wire swapping. You should have reversing in your radio TX if it's anywhere near modern. If not this is the time to upgrade and get one.

Where is your mixing being done? If it's not being done in the radio, you can't reverse the servos in the radio. If the mixing is done in a receiver, 3-in-1, or the like, then the servo signals are not sent over the air, so there's no way the radio can reverse them.

You can reverse a servo electrically two ways:

1) You can buy an inline servo reverser.

2) You can electromechanically reverse almost all servos. This requires opening the servo, swapping the two internal motor leads, and swapping the two *edge* potentiometer leads. Do not touch the middle potentiometer lead.

If you're comfortable with working on small electronics and know how to solder with reasonable proficiency, reversing the servo is not too hard. Otherwise, shell out $10 for a servo reverser.
