I've got one of the old Hangar 9 40 sized cubs sitting in my basement. At our club's auction, one person was bidding on it pretty hard, and didn't look like he'd be outbid. Finally, the price got to 75, and because my dad knew the guy selling it, he bid on it. The other guy lost interest immediately, and we got stuck with the damn thing.
It's built like a tank, and there's probably a pound of lead glued to the firewall to make it balance. We flew it for a little while with a GMS 47 (it's what we had), and then took the receiver out of it to put in a more interesting airplane. I've got another receiver now, and found a 91 FX laying around the basement. It balances great with the 91. I'll post some pictures once it's all done, assuming the wings don't rip off.

Haha, mine lost battery power in a snap front show center, did an awesome inverted flat spin into the ground from pretty high... Only damage.. prop, and some cracks in the cowl. pretty amazing!
