Bad-ass Super Contributer!

Hey Guys,
I have been saving up my money for the past 5 months and I am finally getting to the point of deciding which 40%er I want to get but I can't seem to decide. I have been leaning toward the Carden 300 because I already have a 35% Dalton 260 so I would like to try the other best kit plane out there which is Carden and I have seem multiple Carden 300 midwings at various contests and they fly very well. But the two things that always make me go back to the dalton are the Laser cut parts and the cost compared to the Carden. The Dalton is very tempting when it is $200 less than the Carden, grant it when you are talking about a $4,000 ordeal $200 less isn't that much to most people, but I am trying to keep the over-all price as cheap as possible without sacrificing quality parts. I know both of them will fly the Sequences at any level very well I just can't decide.....so I was wondering what you guys think. Thanks, Neil |

I am currently building a 40% Carden Extra 300 Midwing and am not far from the ready to cover stage. This is my 5th 40% kit build and I must say that I like it the best for several reasons. It is a very smartly engineered build that goes together light and strong. Parts fit and match up without a lot of adjusting. I opted for the new CNC lightened motor box and with its tab lock construction you can't screw it up. It comes out very light too and takes out a lot of time from having to cut lightening holes. I haven't yet built a Dalton but I do know that the Carden is a proven flier and will hold up for many seasons of flight.

Both are good flying airplanes but I believe the Carden will hold up to more punishment than the Dalton. I have flown a Dalton and it flew very well. I still like the Carden a little better. There is just something about a Carden that you wont get away from. They fly like no other and just track like a dog looking for food. I am just about done with mine and I can say the new motor box was very easy to put together and saved a bunch of time and weight.

Now will this Carden Mid wing 3D well? or What would be the best plane for that? I really like the longer canopy and the lines of the carden, but would also like something that would IMAC well and 3D well! Thanks

i ofcourse say the dalton because that is what i am familiar with... you are asking about the ML 300 or the carden??? i would say that you need to compare the regular 300 and the carden. the ML is basically a stretched out pattern ship that is primarily an IMAC creation. it will NOT 3D as well as the standard version due to it's lengthened fuse... if your after a tremendous mix of precision and 3D get the standart version dalton 300 and you'll never look back!

Or, he could hold out altogether and wait to see what magic flows from Aerotech after Rob takes over....
Just a thought...
