I am waiting for my Da 170 to finish mine. I will say this, it is BIG, In the last 4 years I have owned the 40% Carden 330 and 260, 3M comp arf 260 and Giles, columbo anderson 38% extra, and Radiocraft 40% extra. The fuse is larger than all of them. The Radiocraft is the only one close in size.
I can't wait to get it in the air. I am sure it will be a great flying plane. My Carden 330 was my favorite plane that I have ever owned, I hope it compares in flying capability.

The greves don't even wiegh 2 lbs. I am not sure how much you could save with carbon.

I got a pull on Jason Benson's Yak a while back, this is one sweet flying plane. I could fly the Sportsman sequence better with this plane than my own Comp-Arf 260, I wish I could have this plane!

You will need the full load of servos if yuo go Hitec. My buddy's yak had 10 8711's, stock muffs, EQ10, and a considerably lighter A123 battery setup and he ended up at 40.5 pounds. Expect 42-43 with your current setup option.

150 on pipes will fly the airplane well but it needs every bit of power the engine can give. You might want to go with the 260 if your going to use a 150. Those airplanes go like crazy on a 150 with pipes. The airplane is smaller and has a thinner airfoil. Either way they fly awesome but neither are small aircraft. Jason |

Very true. If I got my hands on one of these Yaks, though, I could probably get it to about 40 pounds or less with pipes - but it would take some serious effort and a rotary file. My QB 260 is 37.5 pounds (less pilot) with the Greves, and let's just say that power is not an issue
