OK.. I'm a sucker for cheap motors, and I got this puppy for $159 + $29 shipping on the old Ebay.
It might SUCK, it may be cool, it may last for 5 flights... but I'm going to give it a try! Slapping it in my Ultra stick 120, or 72" cap 232. Says its spins an 18- 10 so an 18 - 8 should be smoking around 8000 RPM but we'll see. Dude has lots of good feedback, and a few really good ones about this motor. I'm not sure about the weight displyed but well see! I mean for the price, if it sucks, I'll dry it out, mount a prop and it will make a great work desk paperweight!

Hmmm.
When I get it I'lll post an accurate weight. I'm sure that REALLY matters to a heli.

Neat - looks likght and cheap too! If it will do those rpm numbers on an 18-8, it should be better than the G-38 I'm running. I have an APC 18-8 on it and am in the mid 7 thousand RPM range.

I have a G-38 wanna be, and mine is the same. but its heavy like 4lbs+ ...
its in the cap right now.. flys like a bloated pig. I'm hoping that dropping 2+ lbs should cure this! .. we'll see! ![]() I'm going in with low expectations, that way I can be surprised!! And I have enough "real" planes to get me by! This is more of an experiment.

Are the muffler and ignition included? Might be a neat motor for a 68" to 72" plane. Keep us posted on the performance.

Yea - Ign and muff included.
That what i bought it for, the old 72" H9 CAp 232. Or if that dosn't work out, the H9 Ultra Stick Lite. Either should be sweet, if the motor is decent. Should have it by the nd of the week (I hope) The guy did have 97% + feedback 300+ sales... Lots of boat stuff... but all good. Few bad ones were just bad customers, Like "this boat didn't come with 8 aa batteries, but it was a RTR".. So I think he's legit. Also I found like 3 feedbacks about the motor all guys seemed really happy! Time will tell. I'll do a report, weight, real world RPM, and flight performance over the next few weeks. ![]() Would be sweet if its a decent motor, nice for that kick around plane everyone has that is usually glow.

Sweet, that old H9 Chapman Cap was what I had in mind, or maybe the Yellow Sig Breitling Cap. Might have to check this one out.

can't wait to hear the report. Would make a great swap from a glow to gas with that weight.
