Default Mini Extra Help!!

I recently completed an Extra 300 from Segull models and need a little help with the set up! Any prop suggestions for 3D flight? When people say the plane needs to be a bit tailheavy, how far back should you set the CG? I am using the E-flite P480 motor with a 30 amp esc and TP2100 lipos. The plane is currently on a 11x7e prop and will not pull vertical whatsoever!?!? It weighs in at 30oz. with the battery and I cant figgure out what to do to make it lighter/more powerful. i have read various threads online where people can make this work with the 910kv 480 at nearly 33oz., i bought the 1029kv motor and have no luck whatsoever. I am rather new to 3D so any help would be great.

Try using an 11x4.7SF prop. The 11x7 prop may be slowing the motor down, and keeping it from unleashing its ponys. Also, the battery you're using might not be able to handle the loads.

For 3D flight, you shift the weight back to make it more responsive. Usually, a 1/4" does the trick, but if it's your first few flights with a 3D plane, balance it right on the factories recommendations.

What is the suffix SF for the prop? I just recently found out about (E)lectric props myself...There is much to be learned in this hobby!
