Default Aeroworks 50cc Extra 260 w/canister

I was wondering what everyone is doing with the canister /pipe tunnel. I'm running a Smart-Fly power expander with a JR921 receiver and A123 batteries all of which sits above the canister. What are folks doing besides installing the 2 balsa panels provided? Nothing, fuel proofing, or something to reflect the heat away? Any help and or pictures would be greatly appreciated. This is my first gas plane and I want to do it rite. THANKS
