hey guys, I just ran across this thread... I'm in St. louis also. I mostly fly at Buder Park, but i'd really like to find a good club to join closer to my house.(afton area) Anybody know of anything close to me?
Mark, i met you up at the Ralley of the Giants a couple of weekends ago in north county. we spoke about it through email? (i was the guy at the end of the day saturday that pissed everyone off with my little foamie BypYak:-) Anyway, i'd really enjoy meeting some people around the area to do the ol' huckin' thing. I'll be at Buder this friday the 14th for the better part of the day. Its gonna be a hot day, but hey, thats a crappy excuse no to go flyin

Yo, what's up fellas. I live in O Fallon, Mo. I used to love Pantera's pizza.. Just full of grease! Oh the good old days. We need to set a date to meet out at Buder. Jared is checking the new runway out for us. Jared I'm hopeing to make it out Friday, but my kids are returning from the lake Thursday, so I don't know if I'll make it. Grandparents, they just keep the kids long enough to get them spoiled rotten, then return them!

Brian, just bring the kids along! I'm going to try to get out there kinda early...maybe somewhere between 10 and 11am. I'm actually leaving for the lake at about 6pm, so i wont be able to stay all day.
Definately need to set a date. it will be like an un-offical fly-in!

sorry for the delay on the buder park update...went to the lake for the weekend.
Well the field looks great! They brought the runway up about 2 inches i'd say. about even with the
grass, maybe a little higher. All fresh blacktop with nice bright yellow markings it is oh-so smooth!

How wide is the pavement at Buder?

mmmm, i think its about 25 foot wide? i could be wrong, but i think thast about it. I'll be down there tuesday, i could measure it then. anyone going out tuesday???

25 feet sounds so narrow from my other field but you might be right..we might be out there tomorrow..sat

yep it is pretty narrow. I ts fine for most of the people that fly down there, but anything 30% or bigger, its a little small.
