I loved my 50cc AW Extra so I went with the 150cc Yak in the new blue/orange scheme. Looks great! The plane got here (Indy) in 2 freakin days! Now all I need is that DA-170 and somebody to fast-forward to April.

I've had both and you can't go wrong with either. On the 150cc you need pipes to really let them rip! The Yak is build with the mounts allready in. The Extra you have to modify a little. Very easy to do but you can't just cut the covering exits and drop the pipes in.
These new MTW pipes are looking very promising. Same basic weight as the Greeves but a little more user friendly.
BTW the 150cc YAK with a DA 150/ Greeves Pipes and a 30x12 Mezlik is an awesome combo. Don't let anyone tell you its not enough power. The 150 will yank it no problem.
But the 170 does yank it better If you can get one.

Just got a call from Tony today. My 170 is on the way with the new MTW RE-3 pipes. Sounds like it will be a killer combo!

Looking good there smarks! I'm building one just like yours. My DA-170 should be here this week so I'll have something to fill that huge cowl with!

Thanks Scrima! Yeah, my 170 should be here today I am hoping. That cowl needs a friend. Let me know how the build goes. I am still waiting to get enough $ to get all the electronics. Man, $1K for all the servos. My wife hates me.

What are you going to use for exhaust?
