Default Laser / Turbo prop build

Now that I have my Wren 44 Turbo prop in front of me, then I can tell you , I will be building from plans (from Jack Strickland) a Laser 200 34% scale and powering it with the Wren 44 Turbo prop.

I will try and post pictures as much as I can and hopefully the build thread will not take too long to do.

I will accept any and all constructive criticism, but please I ask, if its negative, don't bother, there is enough of that here.

This is plans built with the jig built wings also. And we have a lot of Laser enthusiast out there.

when I get the plans, this week most likely, I will set up the jig with pictures and start.

Stay tuned.

Roger

Roger, I am in the covering stage on my 40% Laser. The build is quick, the covering - not so quick.

Monokote mostly with some Ultrakote mixed in to match cowl color. I am using a pre-painted cowl from Hanger 9. Its the Cap 232 cowl.

You're very welcome, I am still waiting for the plans to arrive, sometimes our postal system seems like the old Pony Express

I think if I would build turboprop I would go with Raven, and have scale airplane too.

Yes I know and you are right, but I want to kill two birds with one stone, and not going for scale. I will be using this combo for a learning process on operating the Turbo Prop...

This could easily be my favorite build thread of all time. Favorite plane + interesting setup. Looking forward to it!

so, is this turbine smaller than the ones used to power 35% planes like QQ's and Brian H's?

I'm not sure on the one QQ uses, but this one is the Wren 44
