Seriously though, this is turning out to be a really neat project! That's good your friend liked the prop! Do you have any plans to produce and sell them, or is it just for fun?
Thanks Jack for the kind words , it is a fun project to say the least.

As for the props, I don't intend sell any props, it is very labor intensive since I dont' use CNC machines.

Besides there so many prop makers nowadays

There is something I have been wanting to stress for a while and just keep forgetting.

On the wings when you are doing the spars, the webbing between the stringers top and bottom, make sure you don't make the webbing just glued on the side, I know its a lot easier and faster but you will be relying on the glue joint only to hold things together.

By putting the webbing between the stringers, then the glue holds it in place but the webbing itself is doing the work ,

If anyone is not sure of what I am saying, let me know and I will make a sketch of it.

I will have some pictures later today as I am now shaping the leading edge and trailing edge of the wings.

True, but in a bending moment, where there is compression, there is also tension ... in this case, the bottom of the wing. The tensile strength of the carbon fiber on the bottom would lessen the compressive forces in the top. That is why we see struts on the bottom of high wing planes. Cheaper and lighter than building the wing to carry all the load. The interrib webbing is the finishing touch that makes the whole wing an "I" beam.

A little more work was done today, finished shaping the wing leading edge and trailing edge and cut out the ailerons.

And 3D guy, I will post some sketches later tonight.

Here is two sketches of the webbing I spoke about.

the one with the side webbing is relying totally on the glue to hold things together, while the other one with the webbing sandwiched between the two stringers relies on the strenght of the webbing itself.

Hello, thanks for your interest in this build. Please read all the posts, and number 191 for the I beam info. Thanks

In these photos, I am installing the hinge blocks in the wings and ailerons before I install the trailing edge of the wing aileron cutout and the leading edge of the ailerons.

Also before the we close these off , I have also installed a hard wood control horn point .

The boost tabs will be cut out once this is all done..
