The only down side to this thread is considering where you are we have to wait for the Spring thaw to get the flight report ?

I am trying to relocate south as we speak, but with the economy the way it is, its not going to be a quick move

I don't have any ideal where Northport is at, but when you get moved we will have to meet up and fly some day !

Yes that would be cool,
Northport, Alabama is about 130 miles west of Atlanta.

I have reached the point of no return making the cowling, , now I hope it will succeed...

Also you can see the engine install, and will continue installing everything.

Jack, if you remember I wasn't going to make the tail removable, and after you convinced me to do it, I am happy I did, so much easier to cover.

Movin' right along I see. We've touched on this before but just how are you gonna get the intake air to the back of the engine ?

From under the cowling there will be an air intake guided to the back where the engine intake is.

As I get this done, I will take pictures.

I will start cutting the cowling tomorow hopefully for the prop drive, and the two exhaust pipes .

I plan on doing most of these cuttings before I remove the foam, for solidity.

Hi Roger Glad you are satisfied with the removable empenage, it may be stronger than gluing also.

Success , success, success!

I removed the foam from the cowling, and it turned out perfect, well near perfect

Just a look trial fit on the fuse, not fitted yet of course, but time to celibrate.

Now I can tell you exactly how I made it but be sure, its not the only way, but the way I made it.
