Sorry to hijack the thread, but DO IT!!!! I love mine! Back on subject here, just like the other guys said, if you can afford it, get it. The bigger stuff only flies better!

RC hobby money had better be disposable income. It's a hobby, not an investment. The big 40s fly great but in my opinion if you aren't flying competitively then a 100cc plane will give you just as much enjoyment with a higher power-weight ratio and cost half as much to set up. Having said that, always jump on a great deal if you can afford it.

I fly a 35% and a 40% Extra. For IMAC, the 40% is hands down better. However, for 3D I really prefer the 35%. The 35% is much easier to throw around and is more agile. The 40% is slower and more graceful but not as agile in my opinion. The 35% is also alot easier on the pocket book so it is not as stressful for me to fly low. I don't see any problem with going from a 50 to a 150. I would recommend keeping the 50cc or some other small plane to throw around a practice with. The 40% will be more stressful unless you just don't care at all about the cost. It is nice to have a smaller plane to take out and just have fun with.
