The 7955's rock, about 200 flights on them now and no loss of power or slop. I would give them 2 thumbs up at this point, we will see how they do after 500. And I did put the SWB self adjusting tray elevated about 2 in with 3 on the rudder, much better with that barn door size rudder on the back.

I have 40+ through mine with out any problems, it throws my 42% 260 around like a rag doll, the 157 cs dose the same with about 50 through it on my other Dietrich 260 42% since Bobby did my updates on it. But this in not a forum to discuss the Ford, Chevy, dodge argument. All of the motors are good and do what they are supposed to, I have many different motors on my Dietrich's and they all get the job done for me, so lets keep out eye on the prize and think about the Big Slick.
So far it is totally BAD ARSE and go's from laser strait yo full on 3D with a roll rate from hell on a 42%, I can't wait till you guys get to play with one for any length of time.

I've been using 5955's on my 35% aero-works 260 for two seasons now with a 3W-106 cs and they are as the day I installed them. No slop what so ever. So I'm with you 7955's ( probably the choice!) However I did give the new Futaba servo's a thought. Can't think on the # right now. Keep us posted as you go along.
GmanBill
Thanks for the heads up on 3 servo's on the rudder I'll go there too!. This will be my second DIETRICH aircraft 1st one is the 50cc extra 260. It's been a great plane!

C'MON NOVEMBER!!! I can't stand it anymore! I want mine now! The 260's starting to wear out and don't know how much 3D it has left in it. GMan posted some news on one of the other sites. A little update, if you will. Care to tell everyone Bill?

Just pre ordered mine yesterday is it November yet? I was told the end of November but could possibly be earlier if they get shipped on an earlier boat. I too will be running 7955's as I have always run hitechs and never a problem ever. I just like that they can be programed and no matchboxs needed. Anyone have any video of this beast?

Now I'll have a new Slick to reward myself. It makes me want to quit smoking, stop eating like a horse and stay at home more often to afford a new radio and motor to go with it. Cut some spending and rat hole a couple hundred bucks a month and buy one. $200 will reserve you one at the pre order price. Kevin said he's not charging the entire amount until it ships to you.

You can thank me later! The way things are going I may have my slick before Aeroworks gets their sh*t straight and sends me a wing tube I can actually use.

I thought there was one of Jesky flying Scott's but now I cant find it, it was either Jesky or Leesburg but there was a video floating around. I will see what I can do to find it. I hope they get the container on a earlier boat but I don't want to get too much false hope going, just think about a Thanks Giving present you bought for yourself.

How would you like me to thank you? A Simple "thanks", some cold beer, or replace your prop I broke??? LOL THANKS JONAS FOR MAKING ME SPEND EVERY LAST PENNIE I HAVE AND WILL HAVE UNTIL FEBRUARY!!! I should have just held off. I could have just flown yours. But then again, if I had every dollar I spent on props this year back, I'd be halfway on paying for the slick

I knew you couldn't hold out! I guess there'll be a few at the Nall next year now. We'll just park them under the cool people tent next to the kegs.Do what I did and call your mortgage company now and let them know that December's payment will be a little late.

If I didn't move every few years I'd get one. I just can't transport all this crap and my next job looks to be Staff or School......both of which will eat up most if not all my free time and most likely won't give me the Shop I want for the planes.

I think I will go 2.4 on this one. I need to make the switch sooner on later! I do have a NIB DX-7 for my 3Dhobbies Extra 300 SH that I am currently building. I'll use that for my test bed on 2.4----- I currently fly a 12-Z (pcm). I wonder how many fly 40% with a 7 channel receiver? No doubt I will have to upgrade. I don't feel to good about converting my 12-Z to 2.4 after reading some of the problems FUTABA has had. I will wait and see how others will be setting their SLICK 540's up before I make a final $$ decision. Any thoughts from other SLICK 540 owners will be welcome.
