Default On the road to Toledo!

On the road to Toledo!
Article written by: Maxon Duncan

Okay, so the giant scale VPP was a bunch of bullshido, but we hope you all had a great April Fool’s day anyways! This week is going to be a big one for FG! We’re headin’ to Toledo! The FlyingGiants will be onsite covering the E-TOC on Thursday, The EX-Games on Friday, and the Weak Signals Tradeshow through the weekend. Cross your fingers, and pay homage to the bandwidth gods! We’ll be pumping back full frame video of each event right back to the site. Before we hit the road, we’re going to leave you with some great new content – Read on…

- The FlyingGiant’s “Giant Jargon” dictionary! Folks, we have no other that Michael “Wizard” Martin to thank for this one. Over the past few weeks Michael has been working non-stop building a comprehensive reference library of modeling terms. The Giant Jargon Dictionary not only includes definitions for many modeling, aerobatic, and FG specific lingo, but also contains many illustrations, and even video! A BIG THANKS from the myself, Bob, and the crew for your contribution to our community. This is excellent work that separates us from the pack.

- NEW BIFFCASTS!! Quote from Bob: “dude, are you sure those guys don’t think they’re lame?”… I always have to remind him that we’ve seen close to 10k downloads, and our members love ‘em! Well, they’re back! This week’s Biffcast includes three folks who you all know well: Robert Vess, manufacturer of Vess Props, Tony Russo, FlyingGiants Staff Member, and owner of Dalton Aviation (in that order), and none other than world renound, champion full scale pilot and FlyingGiant's regular, Mr. Matt Chapman! Like the full scale aerobatic thing? Patty Wagstaff, Mike Mancuso, and others are on the way.

- GroundSchool – Harrier Rollin’! On Sunday, we will be releasing the next video on the “Roll Like Mark” series. Same top notch video quality with dizzying rolls that only Leseberg can pull off. On deck – Torque Rollin’!

- Qui Que’s Aircraft Company joins forces with FlyingGiants to provide our members answers to questions regarding his line of products. He’s as uber-nice as the uber-nicest guys out there. Pop into his manufacturer forum if you need product realated help.

- Last but not least – ETOC LIVE BABY!! Thursday evening is the big event! We will be streaming real-time, bullshido free video directly back to the website for your viewing enjoyment. We’ll be pumping back tons of great photos as well. Check the site often in the next few days, you’re gonna love what we have planned!

That’s it for now, enjoy all the new stuff! We’re out on Wednesday, don’t burn the place down!!!

Greets – Max and crew.

Keep an eye out for the Hell Saloon at Toledo. I'll be serving up mind altering amounts of 3D goodness.
Paul Swany, designer of the Mojo/Fomojo will be there.
Jeremy Chinn, designer of the Yakk and Kestrel.
Gary Caruso, designer of Sabre.
I'll be the long haired dude.

That's the booth, I set it up this weekend to make sure everything was right for the show. It could be bigger but I'm lucky I even got a booth at Toledo.
