A neuro surgeon and plastic surgeon will be on hand for this. They are keeping him sedated but yesterday the Doctors woke him up and performed some verbal tests. Brady did respond to verbal commands. As soon as the tests were done they turned the medicine back on to keep him sedated. Dan was able to go see Brady and he said Brady thought he recognized his voice and new he was there. The good news is he is not getting worse. He has a long road ahead of him. But Brady is a strong minded, healthy, smart, stubborn and hard headed young man who is going to fight this until he is back on the field ripping it up with a plane. RC Aviation is his life and favorite thing in the world. (Not a bad fisherman either) Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. Brady and Family still needs more and so does Dan and family. They are greatfull for this forum and the friends on here. I cant wait until Brady is able to read this. It will make him proud. Ill keep yall up to date as I hear more. Godbless.......

Scott, Bobby Lee III is going to give Dan a call on his way back from work today - Bobby goes right by the hospital. I'm sure Dan, Sabrina and John also need some moral support as well as Brady and Dan's daughter.

If there is anything that Bobby Lee and I can do, just email or call me. You have my numbers.

Hi everyone, we want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers, this is 3 of his sisters. It is because of you and all our wonderful family that Brady has made it. He is doing great today. He is talking, agravating us, telling us what to do, and simply being Brady. It is so wonderful to hear his voice and watch him react. Right now they are telling us that he will have surgery on Wednesday to reconstruct his nose, eye sockets, and cheek bones. There will be a team of doctors because most of the cartilage from his nose is in his brain. They are hoping to do as few surgeries as possible. His left arm is just fine, but his right arm is damaged from the elbow down. He is slightly moving his thumb and index finger which I hear is the only important fingers when it comes to flying. We are told that they will work with his arm after his face has been reconstructed. His neck is broken at the C2 level, he will wear a brace for correction. His chest is fine, no damage. The bleeding has stopped in his brain and they tell us it will heal on its own, no surgery. One of the worst things is his sight. He is not seeing well. In Brady's words, he can only see about a quater of an inch, maybe and 8th. That's the comedian he is. The doctors are not sure when or how much he will be able to see. We will all just have to wait. Brady has a long road ahead but he is stubborn as someone else posted, so we know he will fight to get better. He does not remember the accident but he does remember bits and pieces of the ER. He tought he was having a dream and was mad because we wouldn't wake him up. He does understand what has happened and thanks all of you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for him, all this will start over on Wednesday when they do the surgery. He will be on sedation most of the day and into Thursday so that he can heal. Dan and his family are here with us, both him and his daughter are doing great.
We thank all of you and will give you another update in the morning. Brenda (sis) Becky (sis) and Betsy (sis).
PS: We hung a foamy in his room at his reqest, that's what he wants to see when his sight returns.

Thank you for posting the update.

Be strong Brady and let that stubborn streak work for you. I do not know you, but that fire should serve you well to get better.

Best wishes to you and Dan and daughter.

God's is doing some some amazing things through Brady right now. I see the out pooring of love and support here on FG. I can't help put feel lucky that God has given each other to lean on at times like these.
The love and amount of prayer at the hospital is un-real.He truly has been blessed with such a great family to be there for him. Brady has a long way to go.But with everyone continued prayers and support we'll get him back to where he needs to be.

It was great to talk to Brady yeserday, the morphine makes him a little mischivious. he was releaved that me and my girls were ok, and kept asking why i havn't maidned my godfrey yet. he maid my day when i toched his sholdier and told i loved him like a brother and he grabbed my hand and told me that if he was able o he would be crying and he loved mee too. he is far from out of the water, he is in a lot more pain today and visitation is limited they will be sedating hime more so he can rest for his surgery tomorrow. from wha i understand he surgery is verry risky, i don't know the percentages and don't want to know. he will be back on the ventalator until friday, he definatly needs continued prayres, please pray that the lord guides the sergions hands, and pray for strength for he family, he needs prayers now more that ever..

Brady had a rough day today, he was in a lot of pain and very upset but he still had some clever words to tell us. He will have very intense brain surgery in the morning. A team of 10-12 doctors will go into his brain to put a plate on the inside and outside bones of his forehead. The inside bone is the most important. It is broken all the way through and into the brain matter. The skill will not repair itself so they have to screw it to a metal plate. The outside plate will be screwed on because he has 10 cracks across his forehead. His bones above his eye sockets will be filled with some kind of fluid to help them heal, and his nose will be completly reconstructed with metal and plastic. His cheek bones will heal by themselves and his jaw has repositioned itself so they will not have to mess with that at all. The doctors will work on his arm next week. Please keep him in your prayers because it starts all over for him. I made him promise to be strong, pray, and have faith. Thanks again for all your great prayers and I will post again tomorrow night to let you know how he is doing.
