Thursday July 17 8am
They took Brady in this morning to work on his arm. We thought they would wait but needed to check for infection. He is already in recovery and it went well. They were able to reattach all the ligaments, tendons, and the bone. There was a significant opening but they were able to close it without a skin graph. He will have a huge scar and should have good use of his hand. Otherwise he had a rough night, lots of pain but says he is going to fight to the end.

July 19 6:00pm The 4:30 visit was an improvement. His sodium level has come up a little. His color is better and he knew we were there. They have reduced the sedation a little so that they could check his brain activity. He squeezed Mom and Dad's hand when they talked to him. That is excellent news. They say it has everything to do with nutrition. We have requested that he now stay in the Nero-ICU unit until he walks out of the hospital. I am sorry that no one will be able to visit him but we have to save his life. I hope you can all understand. |
