Have any of you with the 2.6 edge reinforced the fusalage just below the cockpit? I seem to have a soft spot but it is unbuilt, and the radio tray and support will fill that area i assume stiffening up the fuse?

The radio/servo tray really stiffens up the fuse sides, more so than a Comp ARF... so you won't see nearly the vibration and paint rubbing off that those guys will. The bottom of the fuse is a little weak as you get nearer the tail, but that's not really an area that matters.
Just remember to bolt your wings on when you glue the tray in place... that will make sure that everything lines up perfect while the glue dries! |

Well... I see that BVMPROPS is shutting down (just the props division)... I think all the planes are now gone, but if you're looking for parts, they do have some decent deals.. anything in stock is 50% off list.
These are great flying planes... hate to see them gone. I just hope mine stays in one piece for a few more seasons. |

I'm sure someone else will pick up the line, but in the meantime the planes and parts will be available direct from the company (sounds like fun
).

Yep. Good luck. I have gotten quotes from them direct for replacement wings and canopies and the prices are rediculous. On top of that, they don't take credit cards or paypal. Bank wire transfer only.
I figure if I bang up my plane again to where it takes a major component, like a new wing, to get it back in the air, I'll just sell the airframe for parts and buy a Comp ARF. At least you can get replacement parts for them. XC really blew it with BVM and Chief for distributers in the U.S. I can't tell if XC is really still in business. Good Luck!

Hi Guys,
all parts can be directly ordered at this moment -and it has nothing to do with luck, just write an email, thats all .Questions, infos, orders, spare part orders, can go to chris(at)xtremecomposite.com . I will take care of them, forward orders to Xc and check that everythings going right and help you with all. Xtreme noticed that there is some work to do, so let me introduce to you as the first Xtremecomposite Rep. I will help you with all questions and and and.... Thats the first step in showing theres somebody out there helping and giving support with everything that belongs to Xtreme. So, regarding the change process, at this time a new, more eye friendly website is in work. it will give more infos and a detailled structured view. Paypal: Xtreme might do this in future( i already recommended) -but note: Paypal is very expensive and complicated in Thailand.... Maybe it will be available as option on the new site. But even filling out the right lines and transfering the money directly works perfect -and thats the cheapest way... Pricing of spare parts: if comparing to other firms Xtreme is in the "range". Note that really every point has to be calculated (including shipping and so on.) to compare between others... Please dont start a price discussion here, just keep in mind when comparing and calculating. Want a special design ? or Electric Version ? Well show us what you like/prefer and we will see what we can do ! ![]() Regards, Chris http://www.xtremecomposite.com chris(at)xtremecomposite.com |

TimSmith: my 2.6 edge 540 is composite in fantasy scheme. I didn't know they also came out in wood.......... but just out of curiosity, would there be a difference in the cowl I am looking for, if it were wood or composite? |
