Default Quique's Aircraft Support

Greetings Flying Giants!
Hello modeling friends, We wanted to let you know a new forum is being started here for you to ask questions and get support for our line of aircraft. I feel your ultimate success lies in an open line of communication between you and our company.

I always strive to fly the very best airframe possible. This has meant countless hours testing and searching for what has been very illusive; neutral flying, as light as possible, rigidity, durability and the ability to not only fly sequences, but to excel in the 3D/freestyle arena as well.

QuiQue's Aircraft Company's line of aircraft represent the fruits of my labor over the years. They offer the perfect balance of what I require from an airframe. If you love flying sequences, you'll find the "pilot load" is greatly reduced. If aggressive 3D flight is where your heart is, you'll enjoy the agile but very forgiving flight characteristics.

We are very pleased to be working with Mr.Reza Gholamipour He's a Mechanical Engineer in Aerospace industry by trade and a passionate modeler as well. Reza is a trusted friend who can help with any questions or issues you might have about our planes. This forum will give our valued customer the ability to get specific questions answered in a very timely manner. Our company will aslo gain from your feed back. I trust you will find Reza to be a wealth of information about our products as well as a genuinely nice guy.

Our commitment is to not only provide the modeler the best airframe possible, but to offer superior product support before and after your purchase. We look forward to this very unique approach to customer service, and thank you in advance for your feedback.

At the end we would like to thank our friends at Flying Giants for giving us the opportunity to be here with all of you. We believe that websites like Flying Giants are helping the RC industry to move forward by making the communication between companies and modelers this close and yet allow everyone to share their thoughts for improvements.

We wish all of you a fun flying season and look forward to seeing you on the flying field!

Chucha Conrad.

That does not look like an easy situation to remedy.

I not going to comment and I'm definitely not giving any ideas or hairbrained advice on that one.

Please tell us how you / got it down please.

The dude flying didn't know he was behind the tree and he tagged it.

The power company got it down for us with a big boom truck.

I was wanting to shoot it down with a potato gun!!

I'm very happy QuiQue, Wayne and Reza are providing this service on a couple sites to answer any questions you might have before and after the sale. I've known QuiQue and Wayne for years and think the world of them. Reza is a friend I have a world of respect for. His ability to break down complex build instructions into a very easy to understand and follow sequences is wonderful.

Reza understands the builds as he literally wrote the book! Thanks guys for this service to the hobby. I like the idea of open lines of communication between the modeler and the manufacturer!

Okay, I got one:
I did my maiden flight and was satisfied with the overall performance of the QQ 102" Yak, but it displayed a few issues. Without me telling you where my CG is, can you tell me if I am tailheavy or noseheavy based on:
tucks to the belly in KE
pulls to the canopy on the downlines, pretty hard (I haven't tried mixing it out yet, but it looks like it will take more than 2%
drops quite noticeably inverted - not rediculous, but more than I would say a precision plane should
porpouses a bit on landing approach and the low rate elevator almost doesn't seem effective enough on landing, yet it almost seems to tip stall (the left wing dropped hard on both landings)...
I did do a lateral balance, but forgot to account for a 6 oz header tank I have up in the engine box on the left side, so that may have to do with the wing drop.
So, is this a CG issue or something else? None of these characteristics clearly point either way...

I think you are tail heavy but have you checked your stab and wing incidence? Elevator not being effective is my concern. Please let me know if you are at 0 degree on the wings and also what's the incidence of your stab? Did you take any elevator trim for level flight? If yes, was it up elevator or down elevator? and how much? Did you try going 45 degree upline and roll inverted to see whether it drops or keeps going? Did you fly it in a relatively calm day so we can take your trims into account? To answer your question CG is not the only factor that can cause some of things you experienced but certainly is the first one I would fix. Being nose heavy or tail heavy both will affect precision flying. It's best to have the recommended CG for precision flying. Please check the incidence if you can and also your CG and let me know.

Thank you,
Reza
