Mine's built stock as a rock with no lightening attempts and weighs just under 24lbs with a BME 110. Power to weight was borderline ridiculous.. I had a lapse of reasoning and sold the engine a few months ago, though.. I was planning on selling the plane and now I'm not sure if I can part with it. I'm on hiatus from flying and have slowly been reducing my inventory....
FWIW, I'm running 5945's on the ailerons and elevators and a single 5955 on the rudder. I fly the snot out of the plane and have never been in situation where I needed any more servo on the rudder. It will also KE loop with ease. |

Thanks for the heads up on the rudder. I'm going to try just one servo on the rudder. The older BME 102's don't have as much thrust as the new Evo 102's so power should be good, but not crazy. I had a noticable differance when I swaped my old 102 out for the new Evo 105 when they came out. the larger reed block and carb, along with high volume mufflers, made a big differance. I have a friend running a BME 115 on the H9 Extra 330 and it realy is tooooo much power for the plane.

Update,
I have about 8 flights on the Cap now and all is good. The BME 102 is a perfect match at my elevation. The plane ballanced with no additional weight and pull out is what I like. It hovers at 1/2 throtle or less and flys great 3D. I don't think it will be a good pattern plane for me, I'm use to an Extra and the Cap flys totaly differant. I'm going to spend the next few flights adding mixes and adjusting the thrust line. |

I've got some more time on the plane and it is a 3D performer. I've given it some down thrust, added some mixing, and adjusted the lateral CG. This plane Harriers more solid than anything I've flown. It will harrier right to the ground, add a little power and hover a couple feet off the ground. I still have to give slight down elevator when flying level inverted, but I think the diheedral in the wings causes that. It is flying pattern much better now. Kick up the rates and "WOW".

Steve,
Sounds like you are seeing what us Cap owners are seeing but don't tell anyone as you will hear the caps are snappy and stuff like that (those folks did not know about set-up) makes all the difference) I had my Cap out about 3 weeks ago and it was just bad to the balsa....
