Hello everyone, I am sure you have read or heard about Dan "Dangerous Dan" Powell, his daughters, and Brady Jacobson were in a bad accident last week. After some discusion with Dan I am going to come down and run his contest for him. I know can't run it as well as Dan would have but its the least I can do for what he has done for me.
His contest is one of the longest running contest in the US and is the longest one in the Southcentral Region. So let all come down here and support the contest. Below is the link for the other thread that was started a few weeks ago. Please post any questions or comments you might have here or on the other thread as both will be checked daily. Thanks Andy Snow http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...herman-tx.html

Way to pitch in and help out Andy! Good show! The last time I missed that contest was due to hurricane Katrina. This time, unfortunately, I won't be able to make it as my hip incision is not healed enough to allow travel. If there is anything I can do for you or Dan just let me know.

A huge thanks goes to Dan, Andy, and the Sherman club members for hosting another great IMAC event. Things ran smoothly as usual and the food was great too. Thanks to the club for providing plenty of free iced water throughout the weekend. When we left on Sunday the temp read a whopping 106 degrees! Looking forward to next year's contest.
Dean PS. Hope I never fly through one of those miniature tornado's again. Wow! |

GREAT Job to all the folks that worked so hard to put the contest on. Dan thanks for keeping it going after suffering through the accident. Andy did a stand up job helping run the show. Melissa and I had a great time even baking in the heat. We will see you all next year again.

It was a treat for me to see you fly my plane. With only one flight pass and then into your sequence I was amazed how you hit all your snaps and roller the way you did. Like I said, it almost brought tears to my eyes seeing it perform the way it did. Kind of had that feeling in my gut like when I watched my daughter getting married. Anyway, you're welcome to fly it anytime as it will soon become my backup plane. Dean |
