TAS Pilot Registration is open!

Its that time of year again to start making plans for the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout. The dates for this year will be Oct. 8th thru the 12th. Its our goal at Desert Aircraft and with the support of many generous sponsors to make this years contest the richest yet.

This year we will also be raffleing off a 3 meter Composite Arf Yak 55. This plane will be ready to fly complete with radio gear and many other extras. Once again without the generousity of our sponsors involved this would not be possible. The total value of this plane not including labor is over $9000.00. More details later on this.Thanks again to

Tickets will only be sold on site so make your plans to attend. Lots more info about the TAS can be found at www.DesertAircraft.com.

If you intend to compete you must first go to:
http://www.desertaircraft.com/shootout_2008/index.php
and fill out the intent to register form and submit it by August 5th.
This form will not be avialable on the website until 12 noon PST.
After that print out your pilot worksheet and application, fill them out,
and mail it to:

TIMPA
P.O. Box 36202
Tucson, AZ. 85740
along with your entry fee.

All entry fee checks need to be made payable to TIMPA and must be RECEIVED by August 12th. How quickly you get your paper work in to us has no bearing on weather you get invited or not but dont wait till the last minute.

I am assuming that this raffle plane is going to be a custom paint scheme? I see that your painting guru is listed as a sponsor. I can't wait to see it and buy some tickets.

Have fun guys! Best thing I ever did in my life was go to the Tucson Shootout and compete. If you have a chance to go, GO!!! It's well worth it!

We are proud to be a sponsor and to support The shootout. I only wish we could make the trip out there. I still have my heart set on being able to fly in the shootout one day.

Hi,

the flight from Germany to Tucson via Phoenix/Sky Harbour is booked.

Shortly befor the TAS we will have our "German Acro Masters 2008". We will have about 50 pilots like Seba, Bruckman,Beschorner etc.

We hope that M. Leseberg and J. Glezilles will come to Germany (so they told us).

Pilots are comming from Austria, Belgium, Germany,Switzerland,CZ,Spain,France,UK,Israel,Ital y,San Marino and hopefully USA.
