Well I did it,had the dumb thumb bad perspective thing happen yesterday.
![]() I was flying some touch and go's with a friend when he lost his canopy.I went high to clear the space for him to land and when he was clear I was going to land and help look for the lost canopy. My turn to land and I goofed and went to wide on approach and stuck my Wild hare Su26 in the top of a 70+ft tree! .My fault, totally!Well after a little work with a chainsaw and my friend scott(in the pic)I got the remains of the plane back!

Been there, done that, got the pictures!
I didn't even know they had trees in Wichita, at least not straight ones. Get back on the horse, Wild Hare has more planes and you already cut the tree down. |

MAN.. I know the feeling.
I parked my old Panzl in the top of a 90 foot tree a little over a year ago. (It amazing how those trees reach out and grab planes sometimes) But my buddy knew this crocodile hunter fellow who freaking climbed the tree and got my plane back! (Only to die a horrible shoot down death 4 weeks later )At least you got your stuff back... time for a new plane!! ![]() PS: I think Mike the Crock hunter was drunk to boot.. HAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for the words,at some point we will all be there.
Yeah it's kind of a bummer, but they ALL have there number. Some big and some small. I was thinking of another Wildhare sukhoi, they are great planes and I liked the way it flew.

Yea! A tree is just about the right shape. You can carve yourself a new Sukhoi.

Sorry about the plane man! That sucks. At least you only had to cut down one tree to solve the problem forever. Here's our field. The dark green is 150' trees.
