Default Return of the collapsed antenna

So I was out float flying with my father this past weekend, he was flying a H9 super cub, and I was flying my 88" robin hood. I flew first and made some of the most impressive landings in front of a crowd of about 300 campers. Loops and rolls were met with oohs and aahs. Then it was my pops turn. Not enough power. Lots of taxing fast and would even come off jumping waves. so while he was back on shore fiddling with his engine, I was braggin' about how much fun I was having as I taxied back out. More loops, rolls, landings, and then on a long downwind straight down wide open. It took about five minutes to get the boat started but when we arrived at the the majority of the airplane was underwater.ie all the radio gear.
So long story short dont brag and if you do put your antenna up!

Amazingly everthing worked! The only real issue is the G23 that is free to whomever is able to fish it out.

EXCEPT.................When you have to swap back to 72mhz to help your student out on the buddy box and you're so darned used to not having that antenna up (you even snicker to yourself when people point it out and you confidently yell back 2.4!). Thankfully the airplane does a nice funky chicken in the air letting you know its not happy with you. Also luckilly, the antenna was collapsable and not removed...........end of story.........just a little embarrasment and a safe flight after antenna was extended.
