Where can I find directions to the field?
Does anyone have any recommendations for motels close by? Looks like the event is going to be well attended by the all the pilots registered so far. Thanks. |

There is a Best Western Inn within a Mile or so from the field. Nothing in San Diego is cheap in August. San Diego is the number one U.S. tourist destination this summer.

I will be at The Miramar Flyers next club meeting, (a week before the event) if anyone has any questions/concerns I will be happy to pass them along. Tim Attaway(SP) was at the last club meeting and talked them threw how the IMAC events are run. They are excited to host this

The meeting was logistic in nature. Parking will be the biggest issue in my opinion , carpooling or tailerpooling in this case is advised. If you plan on spectating be prepared to walk a little from the additional parking area they have mowed for the event. The club is a great group of RC addicts and look forward to making this a very fun event. See ya there, Chris.

So we need to make reservations for practice flying on Friday afternoon by contacting club president Frank Gagliardi? I grabbed Frank's phone number from a club newsletter on the site, couldn't find an email address for him. 858-271-4430. I'll give him a call tomorrow to request the field be open for practice in the afternoon. How many pilots are planning to fly on Fri afteroon? Thanks. Steve Just found Frank's email on the IMAC website. I've emailed Frank copy to Tim Attaway to request the field be open Fri afternoon. Last edited by see_e_oh; 08-13-2008 at 02:09 AM. |

Correct. If you do not get him today all pm you his cell#.
Remember this field is on a military base, so a club member has to escort you on and off the field and has to stay with you the entire time. This will be the case for the event also, a member of the club will be stationed at the gate to clear your entry and exit from the area. Ever have a MP find you on a active base with out a host. I've heard it's not to fun!!! Frank will be very accommodating.
