Default HEY ALL FLYING GIANTS!!!

Dudes, we're headed to Toledo for the E-TOC, E-X games and the Toledo show. We're launching our video production facet and we'd like your feedback. What would you like to see in a video that's new? We have some great things planned but value your feedback. We're taking a truck load of equipment and have our team ready to bring you full coverage. The sky's the limit!! Any thoughts?

We'll have the vids ready for sale as quick as we can edit and give it the Flying Giants seal of badass!! Should be fun!! You guys want all the equipment specifics for each pilot? Give us what you think should be included so we can give it to you!! Our plan is to cover the obvious, but throw in some laughs and really get behind the scenes.

The Flying Giants team is STOKED about this!! Tell us what you would like to see in a video!

Biff,

Sounds like you have all of the bases covered. I would suggest when you tape a pilot, get it all from the start up to the landing. To many times I have seen videos that start out with the plane in the air, then ending just before landing. One of my favorite things to watch is the landing. When a pilot nails a landing it is awesome. Also it would be nice to see some close ups of the planes and interviews with the pilots talking about their set ups. Of course everything else you mentioned, some behind the scenes comedy would be great.

I'm concerned with trying to watch the event live, many times i've tried to just watch a new video that was posted to the main page, and have had to wait forever just to download. Is there any idea how good the bandwidth will be up there? Thanks -Brian

One suggestion I have is that the interviews be seperate from the flying. I have some old TOC and Masters videos that have interviews in between the flying. I watch the flying more times than the interviews. I like the interviews but not everytime I watch the video. I hope that makes sense.

Dan..

That's a great idea. I'm sure it all could be put into chapters on a DVD.

Biff,
I hate music in the videos. When a planes flying, I want to hear the motor. I know alot of the time the guy's are flying with music. But that's different. I hate dubbed in music. If you do, don't over power it were you can't hear the motor. My 2cents.

bob,
this might not work at the e-toc but would at a regular contest or airshow where the pilot has a caller. i thought it might be cool to mic the pilot and/or caller throughout a freestyle ( especially guys like LeRoux, QQ ect.). i suggested werner try it at last years xfc but don't remember what he said,
anyway good luck in the venture !!!!

Brian,

Quite often videos are posted in Quicktime. If that's the case, it could take several minutes for the vid to que up. That's due to it being Quicktime instead of Windows media player. My vids are in Quicktime, only because it's the format my camera uses, and I don't have the software to convert the format.

This might be what you're seeing.
