Hey thanks for the input guys.... Yes it was the Amzoil Sabre 100:1 that i had ordered.... I managed to cancel the order before it went out... I would rather find oil that is easier to get locally, I have a quart of Belray H1R already and last night noticed it's one that D/A reccomends, as well as ZDZ, so i guess i will just use that... As far as run in goes on the ne engines, i will probably just use the penzoil air cooled for both ZDZ and D/A... they both recomend it as well.... again thanks for the input guys....

I'm new to gas and enjoyed reading this thread. Previously, I've googled something like "Amsoil versus Honda HP2", you will find a ton of information from the motorcycle, snowmobile, go-cart,jet-ski racing guys. They have a different slant, but more of a technical explanation as to the benefits of each oil. Sometimes the AMSOIL oil rep also replies to the threads. Good reading!

Yes.... It's non-synthetic.... ZDZ recommends the first gallon mixed at 40:1.... then after that you can switch to a high quality synthetic mixed at 40:1.... after 4 to 5 gallons at that ratio it says to go to 50:1 mix. They reccomended Belray H1R as well, that's what i have now so i'll continue using it.

As far as D/A goes they say after run in 50:1 as well for synthetic, and one of their reccomendations was also Belray H1R... so looks like i'll just stick with that as it's available locally for me as well.

I found a thread on RCU the other day from a guy that tested a engine running at full throttle for several hours with several different oils..... he was doing research for himself to see whic one carboned up the most, etc..... the results were very interesting, i'll try to find the link....

Here's his result thread, i just found this today.... I'll read up tonite, interesting stuff!
