I believe these are still coming pocket hinged, correct? I've never owned a plane with them but I think it will be a nice feature.

If EF wanted $3000 for this plane, it would still be a steal. I'm not in the market for one, but if I was, this plane would be the only one on my list.

I think anyone that compares this plane to a GP 38% needs to have their head inspected. Thats like comparing a Carden to a carl goldberg extra. Im sure the extra is a nice plane...but your not going to compete with it. GP came out with a near 40% plane and sells it for a 35% plane price. However a DA-100 will not fly it because it is heavier than many real 40% planes.

1) I have flown EF planes. They are great.

2) Aeroworks is not a cardboard box, they definitely are the authority when it comes to quality and finishing. Along with Pilot R/C from what I have seen.

I never criticized the quality or flight performance of EF planes. I'm positive they are 1st class, I was simply giving an opinion on what a price range should be depending on the features. That's all.

Pre-order price should be in the $3000 range. Then, after all the pre-orders have been met, the price should be $1700-$1900, comparable to the 40% size airplanes. Oh, free shipping on the post-pre-order planes LOL.

I'm sure whatever it is, I'll be a fair price as EF has always had fair prices on all their products.

They look nice, but there hasn't been enough out there nor enough time to see if they're even close to AeroWorks or Extreme Flight.

We'll see.

I saw a Pilot RC 88" ARF out of the box with my own eyes. It was hinged, fuel tank was installed with the lines already cut and the fuel dot installed. Rudder pull-pull cables were already installed and ball links installed on the end. It was ridiculous. Carbon landing gear, carbon tubes, g10 horns and carbon tailwheel.

Who'd they steal the design from? SD models?

Wasn't Pilot RC's factory producing planes for Aviation Models way back when they came out? Also, maybe I'm wrong here, but wasn't that one of the factories that EF was looking at to use for production a while back???? (like 87" Yak time frame) at least, that's what I remember from RCU back then..... could be wrong here....

That sounds pretty cool, saves people some time on the build. I know one thing though, I'm not going to put any of my planes in the air unless I have installed everything in the fuel tank myself. Same goes for the pull pull cable setup. They are two areas that can destroy a plane in a second if either fail at the wrong time. If you're to lazy to build the tank and install the pull pull then you should go to the local store and buy something from airhogs and fly that. There's two things people can do, if you like Extreme Flight stuff than buy it and be a modeler by doing the very few things left, like building the tank, installing the pull pull, etc..., then be rewarded with some of the best flying planes out there as well as some of the best product support, or you can settle for less and buy something else and always say to yourself, man, I should have just spent the extra few dollars and taken the extra few minutes to complete the easy things. I have seen this first hand several times at my local fields, as well as events I have attended. The end result, you'll end up getting the good stuff sooner or later.
