Alright that's enough now...
I have seen and own both the SD and Extreme Flight models. They are similar but don't go talking smack about Extreme Flight and SD being the same in quality there I'm gonna hav to take ya out back and spank ya. Extreme Flight is hands down way better in quality. Before ya go throwin down ya need to take alook and then fly one. And a way big hell yes there are better than great planes in the quality department. When I am talking about quality - I am talking about fit and finish - I am talking about quality of paint that doesn't turn yellow after a season of IMAC meets. I am talking about wingloading. I am talking about when you lay the long ass robart incidence meter on the wings and stab and firewall and it's dead nuts right on. I am tallking about painted glassed in transition from the canopy to the front turtle deck(you are not going to find this on GP or SD!) - these are the things I'm talking about. Im not bitter really! ![]() Ronster |

#2 I think he was talking about the GP 38% pig, not AW ![]() As for the SD models, Aviation Models, TOC, Thunder Power, Pilot RC saga, a search across 2 sites would set all your "facts" straight. There has been more drama around these planes than you can find down at the field on any given really nice day.

I reckon like all ef planes the ef extra will be awesome, ive only owned the ef58 but it was great, except the uc which was poor. It flies superb and is a firm favourite of mine for a quick fly. Ive just bought a AW yak 100cc and they are good planes, i also have 2 QQ a 86 and python and they rock also.
Lets get to the point and not typical brand bashing nonsense. The ef extra will be awesome and if you can transoprt one it will be a killer plane. Good on you EF for producing killer planes. And to be honest my local dealer stocks Pilot-rc and they look real nice so we shouldnt slam them. Please ef bring out the 78 extra and a 100cc yak that has a removable rudder for transport (90" to fit in my jeep), god loves artf's. Guys brand loyality is one thing, but telling others what to buy, because youre blinkered is another. I have a gp yak also and to be fair its not as good as ef build wise but it flies well so lets not just knock them also. Ef must have produced some of the best flying planes, but to knock all others is pure stupidity, unless you have owned and flown thm a lot to find out. Mark |

Your totaly right Lee! :-) I want to know exactly how everything is done in my planes!
I also agree with you Mark. Loyalty to our favorite manufacturers is good, but bashing other companies' names is just not cool. |

Nothing personal towards you, you just happened to be the one that brought up about these companies selling planes with everything done. I just don't know how you can do quality control on fuel tanks that are assembled in China, or where ever they are built. I know you fly good, I know you know what a good plane is, and I"m sorry if you took that reply as a direct statement towards yourself, it wasn't intended that way. It just seems like everyone wants more for less, and when you're talking about competition ready 35% and 40% planes, you pay for what you get. This thread is suppose to be about the Extreme Flight 123" Extra, lets respect Extreme Flight RC and keep it on topic, as well as give Chris a chance to give us a fair price quote when he's ready to instead of everyone guessing and deciding what he should charge when they have no clue what kind of money goes into getting these planes here for us. Again, we pay for what we get, and it will be worth every dollar. Lee

I was, in no way, slamming the Pilot R/C products. I just would like to wait a year or two to see if they are as they start out being. I've too have seen many ARF companies come into being and soon drift out of business or not provide the customer service as when they start out.
I know EF will be there. You can sure tell by the responses that their customer base is behind them. The same with Aero-Works. Ultimately, the more quality ARF companies there are, the more choices in products we'll all have. |
