Come on guys, you have to atleast have flown a plane to say it isn't better than another. You cant advocate or denounce a plane that doesn't even exist yet.

Any of you guys ever considered buying this plane, stripping the covering and doing a custom scheme ? Granted you may have to see if Chris can get an unpainted cowl and canopy but it sure would be cool to do your own scheme. Any thoughts, I guess it could be done rather easily. Also is the cowl gonna be the same type as the 50CC bird or is it gonna be a split cowl like on a Carden ?

The plane does not have a "Split" cowl...No need for the extra 23 screws! It isnt like the 50cc sized planes as the cowl has a screw on the bottom and is held on by screws in the front inside of the cowl. They will be out of sight when the canopy is on the plane. Its a much cleaner look.....with a lot less screws to mess with!

Along with a few others I have flown the prototype of this airplane with Chris and was very impressed. It flys very similar to a Godfrey 300 and is just plainly an incredible pattern machine. It is very precise, rolls great, tracks straight, snaps great and presents very well. This is definitely a top of the line competition airplane.

This plane has been in testing and development for the past year and a half. I have helped do some of the assembly on what looks to be the final version ( the one set-up at Toledo ) and its just an incredible airframe!
A lot of refinements have been made and compared to the first prototype which I have enjoyed flying a bit, this one will be lighter, stronger and probably the best plane I will have flown...I love just looking at the workmanship and detail. I think I want to put one together just to hang in my living room!!!!

You can hang the 58" in your living room and it'd look the same. Just send the 123 to me. After all, your wife might not like to have wings blocking doors on both sides of the room... LOL :-)

I love the one piece cowling, plus all the weight saved from not having to put all those blind nuts and screws. Every bit counts. |
