I have flown the plane with the 150 on cans and it flies fine with that setup. I think the 150 on pipes would be ideal if you don't want to spend the extra money. I already have a 170 and RE3 pipes for mine. Here's my opinion, if you already have the 150 or don't have the extra cash for the 170 you'll be fine but I would use pipes for sure, if you want to and can afford to go all out, the 170 is obviously going to be the best way to go, especially if you're fly higher level IMAC classes where you can use the extra power to your advantage. Either way it'll be great.

Chris is heading to China right after Joe Nall to finalize, approve, and put it into production. The plane we had at Toledo will be at the Nall flying as well as the one Russel has, stop down at the 3D line and check them out.

Hey Extreme Flight .... any chance of getting this bird with an unpainted cowl and canopy deck ? Tossing around maybe doing a custom covering scheme so its not the same as my 50cc extra.
Thanks ! |

That would be great! Personaly, I think that Wayne's scheme would look awesome on that thing! It really fits in with the rest of EF's schemes, and it's just so gorgeous!

I would think it would be an all-white or ARC version that you would get if you wanted a custom scheme. Otherwise, just sand the factory paint off.

I didn't think about sanding off the stock paint thats a good idea if you want to go with a custom scheme. |

Not sure how polyester resin reacts to paint stripper, but I have successfully used it on epoxy resin-based parts.

If you wanted to do a custom scheme it would be really easy. I would imagine the wings and ailerons are not hinged so you should be able to easily remove the Ultracote and recover in any scheme you want.
If they are hinged the pocket hinges are eash to remove the hinge rod and recover. As for the fiberglass parts just some sanding and respray and you'll be set.

There really isnt much demand at all for "ARC or Unpainted" and that had been done in the past and most of the parts that are white are still here and I suspect will be for quite a long time....
