Hinging and trimming the cowl is 50% of the assembly.

The one I flew had a 150. Plenty of power.
This will not be a heavy plane.

I'd bet $1800+ for the kit alone, as I am sure it will follow in typical EF fasion and have full carbon accessories. I believe the proto was under 40 pounds with cans (Wayne can correct me if I am wrong), so a 150 will haul it around with extreme authority - 170 would be SICK!!!

In those pics, it also looks like it is pre-hinged with a pocket-style hinging system??

The weight.
The hinges on the prototype I flew had what you are talking about. Kinda like how Wildhare and CompARF does it (excluding comp arf's ailerons)

Chris said at one point that the production planes would have normal hinging rather than whats described above.

Pocket hinges are nice, but when you have to replace the rods then it can be quite a pain.

It is probably going to be out before the 123" Extra. Chris has been getting loaded with Qs about a 110 Extra since the 110 Yak is so popular.

Ya, but I would have expected it to be on the new releases list then. Maybe Chris will let us know.

The 123" Extra will be out before the 100cc Extra.

Thanks Lee. As long as the 100cc comes out I'll be happy. Drop in my DA85 pulling 6600 on a 28x10Mej and haul it around. The scheme is what does it for me, and I have always liked the 300 canopy.
